Ruston Pierce, the dual enrollment director, has recently resigned from Bryan College.

Pierce, who came from a K-12 background, submitted a resume a couple of years ago to K-12 institutions in the area, according to Vice President of Academics Bradford Sample.

Years later, Concord Christian School (Knoxville, Tenn.) contacted Pierce and hired him. Pierce submitted his resignation from Bryan, effective Jan. 1, 2014, and accepted a position as Headmaster at Concord.

“They came looking for him. He was not even on the market,” said Dual Enrollment Partner Janine McCurdy.

Sample said that Pierce received a substantial pay increase at his new position, and wished him all the best. Sample said they had spoken about establishing a dual enrollment program with Concord, and was looking forward to potentially establishing a symbiotic relationship with the school.

“We are very happy for him…We wish him well and hope Concord does well and flourishes under his leadership,” Sample said.
