The Lady Lions have dominated all aspects of the game this season finishing 33-3 overall and 19-1 in the AAC. The ladies also went 13-0 at home.

The team traveled up to Kingsport, Tenn., Thursday to compete in the tournament and dominated from start to finish winning every set.

The team also walked away with the lion’s share of the honors at the tournament awards banquet. The girls took home three top honors and 18 total individual awards.

Head coach David Shumaker won AAC Coach of the Year for the second time in a row. Senior Carolyn Evans was named tournament MVP for the second year in a row. Junior Taylor Fink was named Setter of the Year, and Kara Stamper was voted Freshman of the Year and led the team in kills tallying 344 for the season. All three women were selected to the All-Tournament Team.

The Lady Lions were ranked 34th in the nation Tuesday and will move up in next week’s poll.

The women have generated excitement on campus by keeping fans involved on Twitter constantly hash-tagging “roadtorepeat” after every tweet.
