More About Moore: From Irondale, Alabama to Long Residence Hall

Written by: Nathan Kernell

Bailey Moore is subtle in his ways, but strong in his convictions. Originally from Irondale, Alabama, he went to public school for gradeschool. When going on his college search, he stumbled upon Bryan in looking for somewhere with a different atmosphere than public school. He “longed for a change in scenery and a Christian attitude towards education.” In looking for a Christian college, he decided Bryan was the place, starting in fall of 2016.

“Every experience here was positive and it seemed like a great fit.”he said. “Freshman year was good.” The year was full of new connections and friendships that, coupled with no bad experiences, helped make the transition from high school to college that much easier.

Moore is enjoying his sophomore year at Bryan as a business major with a focus in business management. As he matured spiritually, he was asked to become a resident assistant, helping him meet new people and assist new students while also keeping him connected to the upperclassmen he already knew.

When asked about Moore, freshman Alex Reaves said, “Bailey is kind.” He continued by describing the advice that More has provided in his short tenure as resident assistant, like how to manage time for homework and fun activities.

After college, Moore does not plan on returning to Alabama. “Not necessarily Rhea County, but I find Tennessee very inviting.” He hopes a financial management position is in his future; one that involves a Christian Organization. Most of all, Bailey wants to follow “God’s call” on his life.
