If you want to see the world and its various cultures, you now have a chance through Bryan’s International Post-Semester Tours.
By collaborating with various academic departments, the International Programs Committee have planned a four year cycle of study abroad tours, which takes place at the end of each semester.
Each tour is organized by a specific academic department, and focuses on on visiting areas that pertain to that department. Although each tour is geared towards a specific academic department, all students, faculty, and alumni are encouraged to attend as many tours as they like.
The earliest tour, sponsored by the Fine and Performing Arts department, will be in London at the beginning of January 2018. Air fare and hotel expenses will be included, but anyone going on the tour is expected to have travel and health assurance, passport documents, and money for lunch and dinner (free breakfast is provided with the hotel).
The London tour will consist of a visit to St. Paul’s Cathedral, Tower of London, Royal Opera House, Kensington Palace, Stonehenge, the Roman Baths, the Royal Windsor Castle and more. For further information email Instructor Bernie Belisle.
There will also be a tour of Israel and Jordan at the end of spring 2018 and a tour of Eastern Europe at the end of fall 2018.
The tour to Israel and Jordan will be in the middle of May 2018 and is sponsored by the Christian studies and philosophy department.
The tour consists of 1 night spent in Tel Aviv, 2 nights spent in Nazareth, 2 nights in Tiberias, 1 night at a Bedouin Village, 4 nights in Jerusalem and 1 night in Petra. Some of the sites and attractions include Mt. Carmel, Capernaum, Sea of Galilee, Dead Sea, Temple Mount, Mt. of Olives, Bethlehem and Mt. Nebo.
Professor Scott Jones said, “I’m still working out some of the tour details, including cost and requirements. You can contact Dr. Jud Davis or me if you have questions, we will be overseeing the tour.”
The trip to Eastern Europe at the end of 2018, sponsored by the Business and Economics department, is still being planned out.

Locations we are considering include Prague, Brno, and Olomouc in the Czech Republic and Bratislava, Slovakia. We plan to visit manufacturing sites which may include Volkswagen and Honeywell.”
There will be various other tours including a tour of the Netherlands and a second tour of London in 2019, a tour of Europe and Ireland in 2020, and a tour of Italy in 2021. Contact Dr. Scott Jones for any other inquiries.
