CHATTANOOGA, TN – On Saturday Jan. 14, 2023, the Triangle team went to the Edney Center in Downtown Chattanooga to plan for the upcoming semester. The retreat consisted of break-out groups, group planning, coffee breaks, and a great lunch at Two Ten Jack.
The retreat started with the team planning out what they wanted to accomplish for the spring semester. They planned from how they wanted to recruit more members to fun events for the Bryan community.
“For the magazine team, I am excited that they are going to be working towards some new stylistic elements and new creative content. For the video team, I think we are going to create some quality videos this semester,” Dr. Michael Finch, faculty advisor, said.
After the joint team meeting, the video team broke off to discuss how they wanted to make their debut and their ideas for the upcoming semester.

During the break-out teams, the magazine team discussed the theme and design for the fourth edition. They even discussed the articles that needed to be written and included in the magazine.
“I’m so glad Dr. Finch organized the Triangle retreat since we have already begun to implement some of our ideas. For example, the movie night with Knives Out began at the retreat, plus we have started designing our spring magazine. I am also very grateful and proud for the team that the Triangle has this semester. Part of the team is working on a few videos for this semester, which I am excited to see,” Isabelle Hendrich, Editor-in-Chief, said.
The teams then took a break from planning to go get some delicious food from Two Ten Jack, a Japanese-inspired neighborhood ramen house. They got a variety of food from bento boxes to ramen. The team also tried green and white peony teas.
After their delicious meals, they ventured into Warehouse Row and looked at the various shops. Some of the members even got some coffee and tea from Goodman’s Coffee.
For the remainder of the day, the teams continue to plan out the semester. Everyone apart of the team wants to best serve the Bryan College community and bring the Triangle’s readers the best content possible during this semester.
