As we all know, artificial intelligence is taking over the world. Is that a good thing or a bad thing?
The answer to that question depends on the person. Some may say that it is the best thing to happen since sliced bread. Others will say that it is from the devil.
As someone who is pursuing a career in a field that AI could be taking over, I can see both sides of this argument. Artificial intelligence can be such a helpful tool when used to the user’s advantage, however it can also be a very dangerous tool in terms of impersonation or copying.
AI can be such a big help when it comes to doing tedious tasks, or tasks that are simple but take a lot of time. It can be used as a citation machine, or an image generator and so much more. There are so many possibilities once you teach AI how to work for you, and not the other way around.
On the other side of things, it can also be used as a device for cheating and manipulation. It is undeniable that artificial intelligence has the ability to steal people’s jobs out from under them.
In an ideal world, AI would mix both of these views. I believe that we have not yet really tapped into how artificial intelligence can aid people in their everyday lives and make jobs easier instead of having to trade a person for a website.
Artificial intelligence is a tool that our society needs to learn how to use properly. Our goal should be to be working with AI and having AI work for us, and not us working for AI. Since AI is such a new thing to us, this will take time. When we learn to work with artificial intelligence, the efficiency of the world will skyrocket.
