As the election for a new president draws near, the political parties in the U.S. will be selecting their candidates for the 2020 election. The Democrats have already begun the process for selecting candidates, but the Republicans and Libertarians have not yet started their primary conventions. The Republican Party will be held in Charlotte, N. C., on August 24 through 27, next year. The Libertarian Party, the third largest party in the US, will be holding their primary convention from May 21 to 25 next year in Austin, Texas.
According to Ballotpedia.org, the Republicans rumored to be running are Mo Brooks, U.S. representative (R-AL), Bob Corker, former senator (R-TN), Tom Cotton, (R-AR), Ted Cruz, U.S. senator (R-TX), Nikki Haley, former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations and former governor (R-SC), John Kasich, former governor (R-OH), Susana Martinez, former governor (R-NM), Mike Pence, vice president of the United States, Ben Sasse, U.S. senator (R-NE), Scott Walker, former governor (R-WI), Mark Cuban, investor and owner of the Dallas Mavericks and Carly Fiorina, former CEO of Hewlett-Packard.
The known running candidates are, of course, current president Donald J Trump, and serious possible candidates are former South Carolina Governor and representative Mark Sanford, former representative from Illinois Joe Walsh and former Governor of Massachusetts, Bill Weld.
The possible candidates for the Libertarian Party include;

This presidential race is stacking up to be entertaining and important. Some of the issues that these candidates will be addressing are pressing ones. Hot subjects include gun rights and freedom of speech, among others. These have been hotly debated between conservatives and leftists, and have recently widened the gap between these parties.
The Republicans seek to preserve the rights of Americans to own firearms and to have freedom of speech, while the Democrats seek to limit or end these rights. The Libertarians agree with the conservatives on policies about freedom of speech and gun rights.
