DAYTON, Tenn. — Friday, Oct. 2, Bryan College hosted an ice cream and dance party as part of its annual homecoming weekend. The event took place on the campus’s soccer field, beginning at 7:30 pm. The event included a DJ, an ice cream bar and a tent set up for socialization. Alumni Markie Haynes said, “The ice cream party was so fun. I loved seeing other alumnus and also loved spending time with the students. My husband and I danced for an hour and showed the kids a thing or two.”

Cheerleading coach Janice Perron also praised the event, saying, “I love the ice cream party every year! It is so nice to see the students interacting with the alumni. I think it’s beneficial to both groups.  I loved the swing band last year. This year was fun though, lots of casual hang out time for everyone.”

Joy Steele, class of 1975, said, “I enjoyed talking with some alumni that I haven’t seen in a while. It was very cold though.

The Rock and Roar event took place in the middle of the homecoming weekend. Other events this week included alumni soccer games, a picnic lunch and a burger bash. Graduation for the spring class of 2020 also took place during homecoming weekend.
