Two and a half months ago, roughly 300 freshmen made their way onto Bryan campus, complete strangers to many of us. However, they will not remain complete strangers much longer, because the freshman SGA has organized an event specifically geared toward displaying the gifts and abilities of Bryan’s newest students.

The Freshman Talent Show is “an awesome opportunity every year to introduce the freshman class to the rest of the student body,” said freshman class event director Melissa Shaffer, “and for us to have the opportunity to showcase our unique talents and strengths as a class.”

Freshman class president, Nathan Harris, agrees and is very impressed at how well Shaffer has been able to juggle varsity soccer, classes and this event, and feels blessed with his team as a whole. In fact, the entire freshman SGA team has been unified in many of their desires and decisions, especially where this event is concerned.

It will be held on Sunday, November 6th starting at 7p.m. in Rudd Auditorium. The emcees will remain a mystery until the actual event, but dancing and singing should be expected, along with rumors of a talent including bananas.

The most exciting part, according to freshman class female representative Kerrie Reinhardt, is “having the whole student body see how talented the freshman are.”

Reagan Palmer, the freshmen class AA said she is also excited to “see what everyone has to offer.”

There is a lot of talent in the freshman class, particularly where fine arts is concerned, and Bryan has encouraged many students to pursue the songwriting area of music.

The freshmen class treasurer, Alex Harris, shares the same desire about the show and says that he “can’t wait to see all the talent the freshmen class has to offer the school.”

Not only is this show going to to display the freshmen classes’ talent, but it will also show the Bryan Community what they have to offer the school.

In the words of Nathan Harris, the show will “blow your mind away.”
