Bryan College men’s basketball team started their conference with a high level of determination, starting off the season with an impressive seven game win streak that set the tone for the rest of the season.

The streak began with a difficult opener, but it was the second game against Columbia College that showcased what the team had to offer. The Lions came out with a 74 to 51 victory against the Columbia College Koalas. Dalen Gales ignited the charge on offense having 26 points and Josh Baugher held down the defense with 5 steals. While they were expected to win, they were not expecting to keep the streak going.
The team continued through the season, and a few games later the Lions played a hard fought game against Reinhardt. Ian Johnson led the charge with 26 points, going 6 for 11 from the three point line. From Johnson’s threes to Baugher’s rebounds, the team silenced Reinhardt’s home crowd and left with a win.

The Lions continued their streak by beating teams such as Milligan, Kentucky Christian, and Johnson. The Lions success has been defined by more than individual stats. They move the ball well and use their size to their advantage.
Each game a new player gets highlighted, showcasing the versatility on the team. Whether it is from Johnson’s three pointer to Bougher’s defense, Bryan has proven they can win in many ways. The Lions’ hot start has put them in a position to contend for the title, and their momentum doesn’t seem to be slowing down. Fans and players are eager to watch how this team proceeds through the conference.
