The second installment of BC Sports Talk, a weekly sports talk show hosted by the Sports Reporting class, features plenty of accents for you anglophiles out there. Senior soccer stars Dan Branley from Newcastle, England, and Josh Oldroyd from Leeds, England, and the man from Down Under, senior golf phenom Dean Hoare from Brisbane, Australia, gave panel moderator and Triangle sports editor, Kat Frazier, all she could handle today.
The fast-paced discussion included some finger-pointing from Branley and Oldroyd for the mixed success of the men’s soccer team, kudos to the women’s volleyball team for running away from the ACC field, Hoare’s recent tournament win. Premier League soccer and a frank admission that neither Branley, Oldroyd or Hoare knew anything about baseball and preferred cricket rounded out the topics for discussion.
