Kajunkenbo kicks off at Bryan

The first two things that come to mind when I hear the phrase “martial arts” are Chuck Norris and Kung Fu Panda, and both of these things make me laugh.
As the Martial Arts club meeting progressed though, I snapped pictures in awe at the moves that sophomores T.J. Wilson, Brian Huff, Brian Penny and senior Jason Hundley demonstrated.
These members of the club performed defense drills that were an artistic display of power, graceful yet deadly.
Wilson, who is the president of the club, said that he is a green belt and has three years of training in Kajukenbo, an eclectic fighting style with a mixture of karate, judo, jujitsu, kenpo and Chinese boxing (Kung fu). Read full story »
