This week’s Guess Who professor is a former Bryan student who graduated with the Class of 1986. He continued in his education at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville to gain a Master of Science degree in Communications.Although born in Vermont, this professor spent his childhood years in New Hampshire as well as Massachusetts and attended a Christian boarding school in North Carolina. Even though he originally planned on being a high school history teacher, God had other plans and used his natural curiosity and hobby of photography to introduce him to his current profession.

Guess Who? (February 2010)

This mystery professor is originally from Kansas, but decided to join the Bryan community 31 years ago. After earning three degrees, all in the same area of study, he said he was looking to teach at “a real Christian college.”

Bryan came onto his radar when he noticed that former faculty member Dr. Irving Jensen, an author whose Bible study book series he read, also taught at Bryan. “I thought,’ if Jensen is this good and he teaches there, the school must be pretty good, too.’” Read full story »

This week’s Guess Who professor was invited to Bryan College, along with her husband, by the chairman of the department in the fall of 1978. Before coming to Bryan, she started working on her doctorate but was not able to complete her full residency. Therefore, she and her husband took a sabbatical from Bryan for a year to complete her residency.

This week’s Guess Who professor came to Bryan quite a few years ago. Though at first he applied to every college in the area except Bryan, he ended up here anyway and now has a deep respect for the school and its purpose, as well as for the students that attend it.
