Lions beat Skyhawks; 4 students compete for $10K

Wednesday evening the Bryan basketball programs hosted the Point University (Georgia) Skyhawks. During the halftime of both games students had the opportunity to enter compete for $10,000 in tuition by making a layup, free-throw, 3-pointer, and half-court shot in 30 seconds.

The Lady Lions defeated the Lady Skyhawks 57-53 in a close match. They are now 15-6 overall and 9-4 in conference play. During halftime, senior Kerrie Reinhardt competed for the $10,000, but was unable to complete the challenge.

During the second game of the evening the Lions defeated the Skyhawks 61-78. They are now 11-9 overall and 6-6 in conference play. During halftime, junior Katie Sims, sophomore Jesse Cooper, and senior Gustavo Angel Tamayo competed for the $10,000. None of them were able to complete it.
