The men’s varsity soccer team lost 2-0 Saturday afternoon to the Martin Methodist College Red Hawks of Pulaski, Tenn., in the opening round of the NAIA National Championship.

The Red Hawks outshot the Lions 8-2 on frame, scoring one goal in each half.

This game marked the end of the Bryan College soccer careers of the Lions’ four seniors: Alan da Costa, Stephen Millage, Jorge Gonzalez Giron and Rasheed Malcolm.

“I couldn’t have been more proud of being a part of this team,” Giron said. “We battled through adversities and managed to win both Regular Season and Tournament Championships. We shouldn’t take all the credit. A good chunk of this season is thanks to the coaching staff.”

The men’s soccer team ended its season with an overall record of 15-4.
