Apple previewed the newest iPhone in September coming out in stores on November 1st. Prices for the phone start at $999 with $49.91 a month.

The iPhone X comes in two colors: silver and grey. Both have a glass back. Apple claims that having a glass back will make the phone more durable. Just like the iPhone 7, it is waterproof. The iPhone X can last up to thirty minutes submerged in water without damage.

The screen is much larger than the other iPhone’s – which were 4.7 inches – making it 5.8 inches on the diagonal. The screen has a super retina display with OLED technology. The phone lacks a home button as well.  Instead, you simply slide up from the bottom of the screen to open the phone. Before if you wanted to multitask, you could press the home button twice and all your screens will pop up, but now, you swipe up and hold in order to multitask.

Apple releases their new iPhone with no home button.

A popular new feature is the facial recognition. The chance of a random person getting into your phone using the facial recognition is 1 to 1,000,000. Apple still kept the passcode incase people didn’t like – or trust – the facial recognition. Along with function is the Animoji’s. Now you can make emoji’s move and talk in applications. The iPhone recognizes your face and connects it to the emoji making it mimick your movements

Apple promises a better battery life. They have raised the battery life up to seven more hours. The iPhone 8 has 14 hours while the iPhone X and 8 plus has 21 hours. The charging situation has changed. They have created a charging mat where you can charge your phone, watch, and earphones at the same time on one pad. They are calling it Airpower. The iPhone X is very sleek and nice looking.
