Learning doesn’t stop during break

Over Spring Break my BFC group and I had the privilege go to serve “Chosen Children Ministries” in Nicaragua. Once we arrived, we were told that our duty would be to assist in the preparation of all the meals for approximately 100 Nicaraguan teens.

Honestly, upon hearing this news I was slightly disappointed because I came to Nicaragua with the hope of doing great and meaningful things for God. Therefore, I could not envision how cleaning dishes could be that great ministry. Read full story »

Broad Street in review

Lifeblood seeks more participation

Sharp needles and blood make some people squeamish, but for those involved in the Bryan College Lifeblood ministry they are means to an end. The Lifeblood ministry gives students the opportunity to support orphans in India with money received through the donation of plasma. Read full story »

Road construction on schedule

As April 17 approaches ever closer, Bryan College prepares to begin the second phase of construction for the new entrance from Route 27. The first phase, which began on Feb. 6, is currently underway, and according Dan Fry, the liaison between Bryan College and Dillard Construction, it it is on schedule to be completed by the May 9 graduation.

“We’re cautiously optimistic,” said Alumni Director David Tromanhauser. “If the weather cooperates and dries out. That could be the biggest hold up.”

“Now that construction has started, there are so many alums that are truly energized,” said Tromanhauser, who sees the new entrance as the first step of many in the ambitious plans the college has for continued growth. Read full story »
